Life Fest Film Festival – Terms of Service

Effective Date: December 1, 2025

Welcome to Life Fest Film Festival’s streaming platform (“Life Fest,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, streaming platform, film
submission system, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or
using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility and Compliance

  • You must be 18 years of age or older, or have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
  • Your use of the Service must be legal in your country of residence.
  • You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

2. Streaming Access and Rental Terms

Life Fest offers access to selected festival films through:

  • Single Film Passes: Access to individual titles for a limited viewing period.
  • Bundle or Legacy Passes: Access to all current festival films plus legacy selections from previous seasons for a limited viewing period.

All streams are provided for personal, non-commercial viewing only. You may not download, copy,
reproduce, redistribute, or publicly exhibit any content obtained through the Service. Any breach
of these restrictions may result in termination of your access and/or legal action.

3. Filmmaker Agreement and Screening Rights

By submitting a film to Life Fest Film Festival, you agree that:

  • You have full rights and authority to submit the film and authorize its screening.
  • Submission grants Life Fest a nonexclusive license to stream the film during the festival season
    and, thereafter, in the Life Fest Legacy Collection.
  • Life Fest will not pay screening fees unless a specific fee arrangement is agreed to in writing
    prior to acceptance.
  • Films submitted without a stated screening fee request are presumed to be available for screening,
    free of legal restrictions, and without expectation of screening fees.

Filmmakers may request removal of their film from the Legacy Collection or address any distribution,
licensing, or other screening issues at any time by emailing
support@lifefilmfest.com.

4. Selected Films and Delivery Requirements

Final screening copies of selected films must be delivered or uploaded to Life Fest on or before the
posted festival deadline, or as otherwise agreed with the festival directors. Life Fest reserves the
right to refuse or cancel the screening of any file or print deemed of insufficient technical or
exhibition quality.

5. Press and Publicity Materials

If your film is selected to screen at Life Fest, you may be asked to provide:

  • Director’s biography and filmography/videography.
  • Black-and-white and/or color stills from the film.
  • Press materials and promotional copy.
  • Video trailer or teaser, if available.

Life Fest may use these materials for festival promotion, publicity, program guides, website content,
and related marketing activities.

6. Judging and Awards

All accepted submissions are eligible for awards designated for the category in which they are
submitted. Individuals from the media and other industry professionals may serve as impartial
judges of all selected films. Jury Awards or other distinctions may be presented to the best films
in each category, at the discretion of Life Fest.

7. Shipping and Submissions

Entrants are responsible for all shipping costs associated with sending physical media to Life Fest.
Please do not use fiber-filled envelopes or other packaging that may damage equipment. Submission
DVDs, Blu-rays, or hard drives will not be returned unless specifically requested and arranged in
advance, with all return shipping costs paid by the entrant.

8. Reproduction and Promotional Use

Unless otherwise requested in writing, submissions selected for screening grant Life Fest the right
to use film excerpts, still images, and related information for promotional, educational, and
archival purposes, including:

  • Festival programs, trailers, and highlight reels.
  • Online and social media promotion of Life Fest.
  • Educational or jury review screenings.
  • Post-festival viewing by Life Fest supporters in connection with the festival’s mission.

9. Liability

Life Fest will take reasonable precautions in handling submitted materials. However, Life Fest will
not be responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to any materials before, during, or after the
festival. Do not send original or master elements.

By submitting a film, you agree to hold Life Fest, its officers, employees, volunteers, and partners
harmless from any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or expenses arising from or in
connection with your submission, including but not limited to claims involving copyright,
trademark, credits, or publicity rights.

10. Termination and Changes to These Terms

Life Fest may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms
or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity. Life Fest may update or modify these Terms
from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of
the revised Terms.
